Is Anyone Hiring?
As most of you know, I have been looking for a part time job for a while now. It is very frustrating that most places are not hiring right now. I even applied to be a veterinary assistant receptionist but found out I wasn't a good fit, because I wasn't available all of the hours they are open, and that is a requirement. I think that is my biggest issue; only being available certain hours. I wish Junior could go back to working 3rd shift again, then I could work during the day. Life was so much easier then.

have you thought of restaurants? They are super flexible and understanding usually, and once you get into one, it is great to be able to do during the holidays for extra hours.
What about grocery stores? They're usually pretty flexible too.
I have applied to all the supermarkets and most of the fast food places. No one is hiring...not even McDonalds, and that was my sure bet, because I worked there for years. Business sucks everywhere.
I have the same sort of issues in my job search. My younger son is on a year-round school schedule. He's in for 9 weeks, off for three. This makes it difficult to work because he is too young to be home alone for three weeks straight and I cannot afford track-out camps. Maybe in another year or so but for now, it makes things difficult!
