Okay, Now I'm Hungry

Do you want to know where I learn all of my cooking tips? I wish I could say that they just come to me because I am that talented, but that's not the case. I have learned most of what I know about cooking from Food Network. There are a few shows one there that get on my nerves, but most shows are entertaining and instructional. My famous potatoes are a rip off of Rachel Ray and I have stolen quite a few tricks from Bobby Flay, who happens to be my personal favorite.

The first time I heard of kobe beef was on an episode of Iron Chef America. This is one show that I can watch every time it is on. I never tire of watching these talented chefs work their magic in kitchen stadium. Right now they are doing a search for the Next Iron Chef, and man, do I wish I was even a quarter as talented as these guys are with food. My favorite, Chef Freitag, was cut last night, so now I don't really care who wins.

I just got a little off track. Sorry. I just get really excited about food, which is probably why I am a big girl. I love to eat. It has only been in the last few years that I have really branched out and started tasting different things. I used to be really picky, and would flat out refuse to taste food I wasn't familiar with. I wouldn't even let Junior buy steaks because he would always get ones that had too much grizzle in them. I love a good London Broil, and rarely bought any other type of steak. Now Junior has me trying a variety of USDA prime, and I keep kicking myself for not doing so sooner.

We still eat chicken most nights, but red meat is so good. It's hard to resist. Besides, like everything else, if eaten in moderation, it has it's benefits.

Okay, now I have to go tomorrow and buy some steaks. I am now craving a nice juicy steak marinated in Romano Italian dressing, and broiled in the oven.

Yum.

I LOVE a good steak. We are beef eaters, too, and I wish we could afford some of the really good cuts of beef. We get Ribeye's when they are on sale and they are awesome on the grill and a good london broil is ALWAYS good.

Mmmm...now I'm hungry too!
