A Day On The Lake

One of the women that Junior works with was telling him about a fishing tournament that is coming up in April. It is a family tournament, where the kids do the fishing. There will be trophies up for grabs, and I know my kids would love to win one. The only problem is that you have to have a boat.

When Junior told this lady that we didn't have a boat, she offered him the use of her pontoon for that day. She said she trusts him, and knows that he will take good care of it. It's nothing like Fractional Sailing, but I am sure the kids and I will enjoy a day out on the lake. I told Junior my only condition is that he has to wear a life jacket the entire time he is on the boat.

You see, he doesn't know how to swim. I grew up in the water, and consider myself an excellent swimmer. If I happen to fall overboard, I can get back on the boat myself. If Junior goes over, he would drown. Of course, the kids would have on life jackets, too. That is the only way I will feel safe.

I just hope we can catch enough fish to win a trophy for the kids.
