Brandi made it all the way to the bus stop tear free this morning, until she saw the bus. I hated putting her on it that way, but there was nothing I could do. Kasi was home sick, so I trusted Ryan to comfort her. He is such a good big brother, and took care of her just fine, or so Brandi said.
Her teacher emailed me back around 10, saying she had no idea any of this was going on. She said she talked to mean, and that if anything else happens, she will call in her parents. Apparently Mean didn't deny things. Her teacher also said she moved Brandi's desk, so hopefully things should be better.
I went to meet the bus at 2:30, and was shocked when Brandi got off with a huge smile on her face. She said she had an awesome day at school! She loves where she is sitting now, and apparently the talk her teacher had with Mean worked, because Brandi said she was really nice to her today.
The best thing about today, though, according to Brandi, was that she moved up a level in reading. She is now reading at a 4th grade level! How awesome is that?! I am so proud of her, and I love the fact that she loves to read, just like me.
I am breathing a sigh of relief. I have been so worried about her. I hated seeing her hurt so much. I just hope that tomorrow is as good as today was for her, and that all this drama is over for good.

I am so glad that this worked out well for Brandi (oh, and congrats, Brandi!). There is nothing worse than a child having to deal with that drama. The drama shouldn't have to rear it's ugly head until the teenage years!
I can Not stand bullies...Hope it's all over with now!!

Letting the teacher know was a good thing. Not that she can fix it, but so she can be watchful. And good for the teacher for actually offering to call in the parents if necessary. Some won't do that. Sounds like Brandi's in a good place. Especially with that reading level! Wow! She deserves a special treat.
Isn't it nice when things go well?
