There are very few things in this world that scare my husband. He will hunt down strange noises, kill big hairy spiders, and clean up when the kids get sick in bed. But put a bee anywhere within a hundred feet of him, and he completely freaks out.
You see, a couple of years ago, he got stung on his stomach. Instead of stinging for a little while and going away, he developed this huge knot that didn't go away for months. As much as I begged him to have it looked at, he refused, because he is a man. He decided that he must be allergic to them, and has become this giant baby every time a bee comes around.
The other day, while we were making the picnic table for my mom, we saw a lot of bees flying around. I am a firm believer in "if you leave them alone, they will leave you alone". Not Junior, though, He was ready to call Bee Removal Orange County and have them come all the way here to find the hive and get rid of it. Thankfully this particular company does live removals, because I would hate for all the bees to be killed. I mean, it's not their fault that my husband is scared of them.
