When I found out I was going to be reviewing the Filtrete Water Pitcher from 3M, the first thing that popped into my mind was doing a taste test with the kids. This particular water pitcher claims to "reduce sediment and chlorine taste and odor", and I was curious to see if my kids could taste the difference.
Tonight, I set up the test. I filled one cup with water out of the tap and another with a cup of tap water filtered through the pitcher. Junior was home, so I had him do the taste test, too.
The results: Junior was the only one to prefer the filtered water. The kids couldn't tell a difference, but they're kids, so what do they know? I can certainly tell a difference. The filtered water tastes fresher, if that makes any sense to you.
I love the style of the pitcher itself. It is easy and fast to fill, and there is a sticker on the top that tells you when it is time to change the filter, which is supposed to last for three months. I love that I (you) can sign up on the Filtrete Water Filtration Products website to get a reminder when it's time to change the filter. And like everything else these days, Filtrete can be found on both Twitter and Facebook.
I am sure that my family and I will continue to enjoy using this water pitcher.
“I wrote this review while participating in a blog campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Filtrete and received the water pitcher to facilitate my candid review.”
