Last night was my husband's work Christmas party. Honestly, I was very surprised when he informed me a couple of weeks ago that he actually wanted to go. This is the first time in five years that he has had anything to do with work outside of work. Did you follow that?
I am usually a little anxious about things like this, but I ended up having a really good time. I know a few of the people he works with, and we all sat together and had a nice time. There was good food, good conversation, and then the DJ got to work. You could tell who was drinking and who wasn't by the way people were dancing. And of course, once the DJ finished setting up karaoke equipment, you really knew who'd been drinking. You also found out who could sing and who couldn't. Unfortunately, my poor ears didn't think any of last nights "singers" were very good, but I give them credit for getting up there and doing their thing.
We didn't stay for the whole party, though. Once they started playing "Baby Got Back" and that song that Sandra Bullock sings in the woods in The Proposal, I was ready to go. I know, I am such an old lady!
I am looking forward to getting together again with some of Junior's coworkers. I just hope I don't have to wait another year to do it.

Man... I never missed a Christmas work party. Free food, free beer, free gifts... you couldn't have held me back if you duct taped me to the wall.
Of course, there was that one year that my boss got me an alarm clock as a gift. I suppose I could have done without THAT year.
Good for u Jenn! And those people that u know and got to enjoy spending time with get their phone numbers and then one evening invite them over for some of ur FANTASTIC food!!!!!!
Jennie ~ one year, my boss gave me sneakers. I never quite figured that one out.
Crystal ~ I was thinking the same thing...
Glad to hear you had a good time. You just never know with things like that. Sometimes it just fun watching other people.
Tammy ~ I was cracking up watching those who had a little too much to drink...you really do lose your inhibitions with a few drinks!
