Please read the sarcasm in that title!
I started dropping again about a week ago, and already my computer was infected with a virus. My dad had to come over and fix it for me, and luckily he was able to get rid of it pretty quickly.
Am I the only one having this issues with entrecard? I thought they had gotten better about their approval process.
Am I wrong? Should I stop dropping again? Help a girl out!

Jenn, I noticed it seems to come and go and definitely you need a good anti-virus! Good luck!
I got one on Monday... I think from EC, but not positive. I do have protection, but my tech person said sometimes new ones just do slip by.
I have anti-virus software from TrendMicro. When I hit a site that has a virus or is a listed "attack" site it will keep the site from loading. There are 3 or 4 sites that have been kept from loading.
Then again I have been receiving emails supposedly from FaceBook about people wanting to be friends. Only problem is I get these at email addresses that are not associated with my FaceBook account. I just delete them.
Sorry that's happening Jenn. I've never gotten a virus from Entrecard, as far as I know. I use Ad Aware, which is free and really good spyware, virus detector/blocker, as well as Norton Anti-virus AND I haven't used Internet Explorer in years, which tends to be 'holier' than Firefox or Chrome, and more bad stuff gets through.
I think I have been lucky so far and have not had a problem. I'm glad to see that you are dropping again.
I have good anti virus with Mcafee. If something comes up as a hack site I never visit the site again. Since most won't change their avatar I just remember the avatar. The ones with the redirects are the worst because your virus software does not pick up on those until it is too late. I memorize the crappy ones and never visit them again. Never ever use Internet Explore anymore they all get through. Also after using Entrecard I clear out all my cookies and run a short scan. It only takes a couple of minutes and it is worth it.
Hi!
First take a firewall, anti virus and spybot.
I always empty my complete historys and scan immediately after dropping.
Using firefox as a browser made a huge difference, as the browser blocks some sites when they're not good.
What helps too is my own list of sites I trust. I drop from my inbox, and I skip all those sites I don't know.
Good luck!
Yep, I had my anti-virus snag a few over the last week too. I guess we just have to be super careful thanks to a few bad apples :(
Hi Jenn - Not sure if this will help but an IT adviser told me that Comodo - http://www.comodo.com/ Firewall (which is free)is brilliant - they also offer many other free stuff that may be of interest. There are various anti virus applications that are also free.
It is wise to sweep your computer on a daily basis to keep it clean - there is a free one that is very good from: http://www.piriform.com/CCLEANER It is called CCleaner and shows a little dustpan and brush which you click on to empty out everything.
Hope that is of help.
I haven't had any issues with it, but I'm pretty careful about the blogs that I visit. I won't click on anything without an avatar (that just has a predesigned Entrecard logo or something). I mostly stick to blogs that I read regularly or real blogs that drop on me regularly (not just bots).
That's scary. No, I haven't had this problem but am worried now.
