Parents' House

I bought my parents’ house from them when they decided to move to Florida and boy has it been a lot of work. I love this place but there’s so much to do to bring it into the 21st century – it’s like they haven’t remodeled anything since my brother and I were born. I got direct tv for the main TV so it would be a bit more modern and my wife’s been thinking about paint colors for both inside and outside the house. I know when we’re done this is going to look like a totally different place but right now I’m a little worried I maybe should have thought about looking into new construction instead of this. I love this house and it’s got good bones (no big home issues when we moved in which was nice) but it sure is going to be a lot of work to get it looking good. Mom and dad were great parents but they weren’t the best decorators on the planet, that’s for darn sure!
