Kidsylvania

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of PA Tourism for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Are you planning a summer vacation for your family? If you are, and you are heading to Pennsylvania, you should check out Roadtrip-a-matic.  This site is awesome for helping people plan out their pa-roadtrips. They have a variety of roadtrips to choose from.  I, personally, love the Kidsylvania one called The Alleghenies.  It's a three day, two night trip, with stops at amusement parks and museums.  Their website describes the trip as follows:

"Looking for a blend of history and family time that will have you traveling across beautiful valleys, stopping atop awe-inspiring inclines and being guided through local history? This three-day, two-night roadtrip through The Alleghenies has you covered. With hands-on exhibits and museums, amusement parks, arts & crafts and the world's oldest rollercoaster, the kids will be beyond excited. But that's not all. Beyond the various kid-oriented activities, the entire family will get a glimpse into history as they learn how floods shaped the Johnstown area, how resilience and ingenuity defined Johnstown's residents and what historic significance nearby Fort Bedford holds. So set your GPS for fun and head for The Alleghenies."

I think my kids would like Lakemont park the best.  This park has over thirty rides and attractions, including a water park, go-cart track, and 18 hole miniature golf course.  They also have the world's oldest wooden rollercoaster, called the Leap-The-Dips, which was built in 1902.  I would love to ride this!  I have been on many roller coasters over the years, and there is nothing like a wooden one, where you can feel every bump and hear the creaking of the wood as you ride.  I think it makes the whole roller coaster riding experience much more fun.

Roadtrip-a-Matic also suggests where to eat and where to sleep.  They strive to take the stress out of planning your roadtrips so that you can relax and enjoy yourself.

You should check out the site and see what they have to offer.  If you do, make sure you come back here and tell me which road-trip you would like to take, and who you would like to take it with.  visitPA-Roadtrip_box_720px.jpg
