Making Better Food Choices

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Quaker Oats for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

When I started working last year, being on the road was a new experience for me.  Heck, driving was a new experience for me! Working out of my van, it was easy to stop at fast food places for breakfast and lunch, especially when my boss would send me on break out of town.  I was losing weight back then, but all that fast food put a stop to that.  Thankfully, I didn't gain weight back, I just stopped losing.

Now that I am going to Curves five days a week, I figured I should start making healthier food choices.  The first thing I did was give up the daily fast food.  I'm not going to lie, there have been days when I have stopped for a whopper jr.  Most of the time, though, I bring food with me when I leave the house in the morning so that I make sure I eat better during the day.

The hardest thing for me is finding something easy to eat for breakfast.  I know it would be easier to eat before I leave the house in the mornings, but between getting myself ready and making sure all the kids are up and getting ready for school, there just isn't enough time.  The last time I was shopping, I saw these Quaker Soft Baked Bars and almost picked up a package.  With only 140 calories, 5g of fiber and 6g of protein, they would make an excellent breakfast snack.  Just look at how good they look:

That one in the picture above is the Cinnamon Pecan Bread. Doesn't it look delicious?  I really want to try the Banana Nut Bread. I mean, it looks delicious too, doesn't it?
