Merge By Windstream

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Merge by Windstream for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I have been a Windstream customer for over year now.  When I moved into this apartment last May, my biggest concern (after I had the power and water turned on) was getting internet for the house.  For those of you who know me well, you understand why.  I couldn't transfer my then current internet and cable from the old house due to an unpaid balance (thanks to my ex), so I knew I had to find a new provider, and the apartment manager suggested Windstream. I was a little worried that I wouldn't be able to have it turned on right away because I worked so much and the kids were in school, but after talking to a customer service representative, my worries were put to rest.  They shipped my router to me, and I was able to hook it up and get my wireless running without any problems. No technician was needed. I really wanted cable, internet, and a home phone (for emergencies), but cable was not available in my area through them.  I did, however, get the internet and phone for a very reasonable monthly rate.

Several weeks ago, I was driving through town, and I noticed a billboard that said "coming soon...Merge by Windstream".  Of course I had to find out what that was all about, because if cable was now available in my area, I wanted to get connected.  What I found out was that Merge is a new way to watch television, as well as interact with social media and share photos.  Simply put, with their Roku streaming player, you can stream content from the internet to any device in your home, from  cell phones to laptops to your television.  It gives you the freedom to watch whatever you want, whenever you want.

Right now, we get Netflix through our wii.  The only problem with this is that we only have it on the living room television, so when the kids are in their own rooms, they can only watch DVD's. It would be nice for them to be able to use their laptops and phones to watch whatever they want in the privacy of their own rooms.  This would be possible with the fast, high speed connection Merge offers.

You should head on over to their facebook page and enter their Ticket to Hollywood Sweepstakes.  If you win, your get roundtrip airfare for two, five nights at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, movie ticket (for 2) for an entire year, a one-year subscription to HuluPlus, a movie studio backlot tour, a sixty inch flat screen television, and $1000 in cash. Not a bad prize package at all, in my opinion. Just fill out the form you find by clicking that link up there, and you are entered to win.  Make sure and "like" their page, too, while you are there.

I know I am going to enter!
