Is Tetris Considered Retro?

Do you remember the first handheld video game you ever owned? My brother had a nintendo something or other, and one of the games I would play on it was tetris.  I loved that game! Having to flip the pieces around so that they would fit together to clear the lines before they reached the top of the board was so addicting! I remember praying for the straight piece with four or five boxes so that I could get extra points.

I should have known that I could do a search online and find a site where I could play free tetris. I mean, everything is online these days, and if you search long enough you can find whatever you are looking for.  I even found 3d tetris, though I haven't tried it yet because I am hesitant to download anything to my computer since my brother spent so much time restoring it from the last virus I had.  And yes, I do tend to pick up virus' pretty easily, though I'm not sure why.  I may make an exception, though, and download tetrisk so I can revisit an old addiction.

My brother also had a Mario game for his nintendo, and I loved that one too! Jumping up to hit those boxes with Mario's head, trying to find the mushrooms that made him bigger was so much fun.  He also had the regular nintendo game, and if I remember correctly, the third Mario game was my favorite.  I think that was the one where he could fly. I wonder if I can find that game online? or maybe they make it for the wii?  I know they have the original Mario game for the wii.  I'm going to have too look into that.
