Looking Nice

 I see a therapist every other Wednesday.  I have been seeing her alone since my husband left.  Before that, we used to see her together.  When I saw her this past Wednesday she asked me if I had lost more weight.  Honestly, I haven't been on the scale in a couple of weeks so I have no idea if I have or not.  What I do know is that I am feeling confident these days, which means I am putting an effort into how I look when I go to work every day.  It used to be that I wore sweat pants and tshirts all the time, and it had been years, many, many years since I have bothered with makeup.  Now, I like looking nice.

The problem, now that it is getting colder, is that none of my winter clothes fit properly, because I have lost so much weight since last year.  I still wear a plus size dress, only now I am not so much of a plus.  I hope one day to lose the rest of this weight so I won't have to wear plus sized clothes anymore.  For now, though, I need to find something nice to wear for Christmas.  I want to have a picture taken of the kids and I that I can frame, and I want to look pretty.  I usually wear black, but I want to find something with a little color.

I wonder what color would look good on me and say Christmas?

Wedding Dresses

I was Online Bridal Wear Shopping, and found this website where they clothing from India. I know different countries have different traditions, and I am guessing that wearing white is not a tradition in India. I found this beautiful purple wedding dress, and wish I had the body to wear it. They have dresses in so many bright, beautiful colors. They had a few teal ones that were gorgeous. I could see having brides maids in an American wedding wear dresses like these. My sister had her brides maids all wear a different color, and it was beautiful. She had pastel colors for her Spring wedding, but I think I would prefer these bright, rich colors better.

That is, if I ever have a real wedding.

It's a fact that every woman should own a little black dress. It should be classy, and a little sexy, and it should make you look, and feel, beautiful. That said, I must admit that I do not own a little black dress. In fact, I don't own any dresses at all. I used to love wearing skirts and dresses when I was in school, but somewhere in the last twenty years or so I stopped wearing them. Maybe it was becoming a mom, and not having anywhere to go that I needed to dress up for. Who knows. I do, however, think it is time that changed.

I love the simplicity of it, and the little lacy detail along the hemline. I was looking for cocktail dresses when I found this at Stop Staring. Their dresses are inspired by vintage clothes, and I'm not the only one who thinks they are beautiful. Celebrities like Paris Hilton and Nicole Kidman have worn these dresses, and they are available in thousands of boutiques around the world. An added perk is that all of these dresses are made in the USA.

Now I just need to find a way to get the body that will fit in that dress.

Having The Wedding Of My Dreams

I dream of someday having the perfect wedding. When I got married, it was in the courthouse. I didn't have the white dress, or the bridal party. I didn't get to go with my sisters and pick out the perfect bridesmaid dresses. I am hoping to have a wedding on my 20th anniversary, which is in six years. My girls would be in the wedding party, and I want them to wear something cute, but not too grown up. I am really liking that dress in the picture, but who knows what will be in style when the time comes. I do know that I will enjoy doing all the shopping with my daughters.

Prom Time
