I know I have mentioned this before, but it's worth talking about again. From now until April 18th, Sears is offering between 75% and 80% off all fall and winter apparel. This sale is good online and in store, so even if there isn't a Sears near you, you can still take advantage of this great sale. I found this really cute red sweater for $8.99. It was originally $54.00. Not bad, huh?

I usually gravitate towards black tops. I think it's because I have always been told that black makes you look thinner. You all know I will do anything to look thinner! But since my breast reduction, I have been trying to buy shirts in different colors. I am not a big fan of pastels. I prefer bright colors. Blue is one of my favorites, and lately I have been wearing red. I know some people don't look good in red, but I think I do. I always feel happy when I wear red. I think they've done studies about that, how colors can effect your moods. I'm trying to remember if red was the one that made you happy, but I can't remember. I guess it doesn't really matter. It makes me happy, and that's what's important.

Are You Feeling Busted?

I think most people, at one time or another, have shopped at Sears. In my opinion, they offer something for everyone. My husband loves getting his tools at Sears, because they come with a lifetime warranty. I think in the fourteen years we've been married, he has only had one tool replaced. That just shows how well the tools are made.

My kids get a lot of clothes from Sears, too. Especially for Christmas. This past year, my mom gave Kasi a pair of jeans. The first time she put them on, the knee split right open. I'm not sure if it was weak material, or if it has been sliced with a razor knife or what, but I took it back to Sears and they replaced it. The women who work there were so nice. I know they didn't have to replace the jeans, but they did. That is awesome customer service.

Donate To A Great Cause

It's Christmas Eve, and if you are like me, you have plans to spend time with your family and friends today and tomorrow. Your children will wake up in the morning, and there will be gifts beneath the tree. You and your significant other will watch the joy spread over their faces as they unwrap the things Santa has left for them.

Now imagine the children of our military families. They may wake up tomorrow with only one parent home, wondering about the safety of the other. Imagine the spouses of our soldiers who face every day, not just Christmas, alone, wondering if they will ever see their spouses again.

Now imagine that you can help these families have a Christmas that is a little bit brighter.

The good news is that you do not have to imagine, you can actually do something to help these families. With the Sears Heroes at Home program, you can donate non-tax deductible money to Sears that will be given to families of our military in the form of Sears gift cards. These families struggle financial, like we all do sometimes, and having to worry about providing Christmas for your children while you spouse defends our country is unnecessary. Sears is having yet another great sale that you don't want to miss. From now until December 13, you will find amazing prices on electronics and more. I know I have said numerous times how badly I want a new camera. Right now Sears has a Canon Powershot 8.0-megapixel 4X optical zoom digital camera for only$149.99. You also get $20 instanst savings, making it even more affordable. Just thinking of the beautiful pictures I could take Christmas Day with a new camera makes me giddy.

Sears also has a Fullerto 7-ft pool table with table tennis conversion top for only $279.99. It's regularly $399.99, so that's a savings of over $100! Most of you know that when we lived in our old house, we had a pool table in the basement. Many, many hours were spent down there playing as a family. The kids would play each other, or my husband and I would play while the kids watched. We would even play adults against the kids. The kids loved it, and they got really good. Ryan can actually beat me now. I wish we had room for one here, because I miss the closeness we found as a family while playing. Sears Heroes at Home Wish Registry

I think I might have mentioned this before, but it is such an important cause, I felt it needed to be said again. Sears Heroes at Home Wish Registry is a program that aids the families of our military this Holiday season. Donations made to Sears will be distributed equally between all registered families as Sears gift cards, and are not tax deductable.

I can not think of a better way to spend that extra money this Christmas. If you are planning to give to a charity, consider this one. These families give so much of themselves. They sacrifice their time, and sometimes their lives, so that we can be free to celebrate Christmas with our families. There are children out there who have a parent deployed right now, and will not get to see them this year for Christmas. Wouldn't it be great to know that you helped to make their Christmas a little brighter? I can not imagine living every day wondering if your mom or dad is doing okay, or even if they are going to come back alive. That has got to be a very difficult way to live.
