The Mommy Test

I was out walking with my 4 year old daughter. She picked up something off the ground and started to put it in her mouth. I took the item away from her and asked her not to do that. "Why?" my daughter asked."Because, it's been on the ground, you don't know where it's been, it's dirty, and it probably has germs" I replied. At this point, my daughter looks at me with total admiration and asked, "Mommy, how do you know all this stuff? You are so smart."I was thinking quickly. "All moms know this stuff. It's on The Mommy Test. You have to know it all, or they don't let you be the mommy."We walked along in silence for 2 or 3 minutes, but she was eveidently pondering this new information. "Oh, I get it!", she beamed, "So if you don't pass the test you have to be the daddy.""Exactly" I replied back with a big smile on my face. When you finish laughing, send this to a mom.So this is me, sending it to all of you reading this. I just came in from swimming. I got home from "work" around 7:30, got in the pool, and it started raining! Just my luck! So I came in, made supper, talked to Nicole (and I thought MY in-laws are nuts!) then decided to go try again in the pool. After being in the sun all day it feels soooo good to cool off in the pool. I have to go back in the morning, then go to a cookout at my in-laws tomorrow afternoon. I think Junior is burnt out. He has been really testy these past couple of days, and today Del just kept saying how Junior will die if he doesn't slow down and rest. It's funny, because he's been doing things for HIM all week, yet he tells me that Junior needs to rest. If you think he needs to rest, quit asking him to do things for you. I think that sounds bad, and I don't mean it too, but it's the truth. Today was the first day all week that Junior didn't work at Del's. And truth be told, he hasn't slept that much this week. When Jean was driving me and Boo home, she was saying how her and Del worry about Junior, because he is heavy and smokes. Things I know. We both really need to get back strict with the WW this week. No more excuses!Kasi has been feeling a little left out these past few weeks because Ryan has been spending so much time with Del. So today Jean took Kasi for a "girls day out". They went to Chuckie Cheese and had lunch and then ran errands. Kasi needed the attention. It made her feel special. Jean felt wonderful when one of the ladies commented that Kasi favors her. I decided today that Bear is going to be an outdoor cat. I have tried and tried to get him to use the litter box and he refuses. I put him in there, and he jumps like his feet are on fire. I quess he doesn't like the way it feels. I don't like the poop and pee in my carpet! One day this week I'm gonna try to get Junior to take some of the females to the shelter. I just can't do this anymore. I'm going to keep Bob, Jack, and Bear. All the rest need homes. By keeping only males, no more kittens! So that's about it. I just realized that I use "so" a lot. Oh well. That can be my "thing". So anyway, until tomorrow....
