Stand Back Up

Go ahead and take your best shotLet 'er rip, give it all you've gotI'm laid out on the floor, but I've been here beforeI may stumble, yeah I might fallI'm only human, but aren't we allI might lose my way, but hear me when I sayI will stand back upYou'll know just the moment when I've had enoughSometimes I'm afraid, and I don't feel that toughBut I'll stand back upI've been beaten up and bruisedI've been kicked right off my shoesBeen down on my knees, more times than you'd believeWhen the darkness tries to get meThere's a light that just won't let meIt might take my pride, and tears may fill my eyesBut I'll stand back upI've weathered all these stormsBut I just turn them into wind so I can flyWhat don't kill you makes you strongerWhen I take my last breath that's when I'll just give upBut I'll stand back upThose are the words to "Stand Back Up" by Sugarland. It's on their first CD, Twice the Speed of Life. It's probably one of my favorites. Anyway, that's how I feel today. Life is handing me crap and trying to knock me down, but I'm not gonna let it keep me down. Junior came home a little while ago, and we're good. He fixed my dryer, which meant he started it and it started right up, no problems. I finished my grass. Del decided yet again to close the stand. This time until it gets cooler outside. The kids are happy. I am too. I managed to get my watermelons for Sunday. That's a plus. So all the crap of today seems to be turning out all right after all. Good for me.Anyway, go to Sugarland's website. Trust me, it's a good song. Until tomorrow....
