We have all heard of LASIK eye surgery. It's the procedure people have done so that they can see without their glasses. Our Military and NASA have begun using this same technology to correct the vision of specialized personnel. Modern LASIK technology, known as the iLASIK Procedure, uses two lasers instead of one. Wave-front technology maps out the unique characteristics of the persons eye. Then an ultra fast, computer guided laser creates a corneal flap. This laser replaces the handheld blade of older LASIK procedures, making the procedure safer. Once the flap is created, the wave-front technology guides the second laser to correct the individuals vision. Using this two laser technology is not only safer, it is clinically proven to provide excellent visual results.
