Royal Pains

I was sitting her Sunday afternoon when my phone rang. It was a family friend of Juniors, and he wanted me to watch a show that is filmed in the Hamptons, which is on Long Island, where I grew up. I grew up on the Island, not in the Hamptons.

Anyway, the show he wanted me to watch was Royal Pains. It stars Mark Feuerstein as a doctor who was fired from his ER position after being wrongly blamed for a patients death. He finds himself in the Hamptons, and somehow he becomes a "doctor for hire" to the rich. He also finds time to be a doctor for the less fortunate.

I started watching halfway through the pilot, and was hooked. I am pretty sure they played all the episodes in a marathon that lasted until 7pm, and I watched every one. It is such a great show. They have awesome stories, and the characters draw you in. It airs Thursday's at 10 on USA.

Watch it. You'll love it.
