I am finding that my taste in furniture is also changing. I still like simple, clean lines; it's the pieces of furniture I want now that I find funny. I never used to think twice about the accessory type things, like tables and clocks. For instance, the last house we lived in had a huge living room. Even with my entertainment center, which is huge, and all the couches, chairs, and end tables, the room still looked empty. I started looking for some type of side table to put on the wall by the front door, and was blown away by the selection, and prices, that I found. The one I ended up with was perfect. Now I want a grandfather clock. In the past, I always associated grandfather clocks with old people. I know now that that's not true at all. The problem I am having, though, is that I don't want one that is too ornate. Like I said, I like simple, clean lines. I found this clock at www.1-800-4clocks.com, and it is exactly what I am looking for. The design along the top matches the top of my entertainment center, so it will fit in the room perfectly. It's a Howard Miller Grandfather clock, so it comes with a limited warranty.
I am going to wait until we move to make sure we have room in the new place before adding furniture to our collection. We're a bit crowded as it is, but hopefully the new place will be bigger than this one.
Hopefully.
