The Proposal

This is the best chick flick I have seen in a while. Sandra Bullock stars as Margaret, an uptight book editor, who finds herself in quite the predicament...she is being deported. Here solution is to get married. To her assistant. Who didn't see it coming.

Ryan Reynolds plays Andrew, the assistant. He agrees to go along with this crazy (and illegal) scheme as long as Margaret agrees to promote him to an editor. To prove to the immigration officer that they are serious, they head to Alaska to announce their engagement to Andrews family.

There were plenty of moments in this movie that had me cracking up. There is one part where Margaret and Andrew's grandmother, played by Betty White, were chanting in the woods, and holy crap...I was hysterical! Oh, and then when Margaret and Andrew start singing "It Takes Two To Make A Thing Go Right"...I seriously almost peed my pants. It was so funny!

I had to pay to rent this movie on Charter, but it was so worth it. In fact, I think I might add this to my dvd collection in the near future!

I have been wanting to see this. They are two of my favorite actors so I figured it couldn't be too bad ...lol. Thanks for the info.

We saw that movie in the theater. Loved it! I was laughing so hard I cried when they were chanting in the woods. I don't know why we didn't grab this when it came out on DVD, but I'm sure we'll get it eventually.
