A few years ago, my sister started making pocket books. At first, she was only selling to family and friends, but eventually she started hosting parties and doing craft fairs. One of the best things she did to help her business make money was to get a credit card machine. Being able to do Merchant Processing on the spot for people who didn't carry cash allowed her more sales, which meant making more money. I know I never carry cash anymore. I always use my debit card.
This is also a great idea for people who sell their products online. Being able to accept credit/debit cards would boost their sales, at least in my opinion. The more options I have in terms of payment, the more likely I am to buy something.
