New Bedding

A couple of weeks ago, Kasi and I rearranged the furniture in my bedroom.  When we moved into this house, Junior didn't put the rails under my bed because they were metal, and they needed some padding before they were put on the floor.  My box spring and mattress have been sitting on the floor for the past eight months, and I am ready for him to get the bed put together.
I really want to redo my room, and since I am not allowed to paint the walls, the best way to change things up is to change the curtains and bedding.  I found this black and gray New Bedding by Veratex, and I love it!  Right now I have a leopard print comforter on my bed, and it is getting pretty thin.   If you know me at all, you know that black is one of my favorite colors, but I think an all black comforter set would be too dark.
I also found this turquoise and brown New Bedding by Triangle Home Fashions that I like a lot. My furniture is a light wood, so the brown would match it well.  I also like the little splash of color the turquoise provides.  I would get curtains to match the turquoise, too.  The cream color lightens up the comforter, too, which is nice for a bedroom.

If I really want to add color, I could choose from a variety of Chenille & Matelasse Bedspreads.   I love the solid burgundy one, but I am afraid that it would make the room darker than it is.  I wonder how it would look if I got some cream colored pillow shams to go on the bed with it.  That would probably lighten it up.

Luckily, I have until after the first of the year to decide.  We won't have the money for any room re-dos until after Christmas.

I would love new bedding. It is just too expensive. No one will see it anyways. But it would be nice and give a whole new look to my room.

Tammy ~ I have a confession...the beds are never made in my room. I have this justification that it is just going to get messed up again anyway, and like you said, no one sees it, so what's the point?
