I Miss Reading

A couple of weeks ago I finally broke down and bought myself the newest Dean Koontz book.  It's been out for a while, and while I have all of his other books (well, most of them anyway) I could not justify spending almost twenty dollars on a book.  Then one day, I was in the store, and I decided to treat myself.  I was so excited to go home and start reading it.  Well, that book is just sitting on my desk, mocking me, because I haven't even opened it up to the first page yet.

By the time I get home from work, I am so tired from working all day that all I want to do is sit on the couch and watch television.  I wish we had direct tv  instead of just the netflix so I could watch current shows, but I make due with what we have. Most people think my job is easy.  I mean, all I do is drive a van and make deliveries.  But, if you have never done this before, you have no idea how exhausting it can be having to concentrate on the road for ten hours a day almost every day of the week.  Trust me when I say, it's not easy.  I love my job, don't get me wrong.  But the last thing I want to do when I get home is read a book, which is sad, because I really do love to read.

That said, I am hoping that by next year I can afford to get directtv for my kids.  They deserve it. I hope I can take advantage of their dx3 plan, too, but I am sure by then they will have something different.  Probably even something better. For now, though, I am going to continue watching old shows on netflix.

Hopefully by now you have started the book.

It's so frustrating not having time to read!

If you really do decided to get DirecTV, let me know before you sign up, and I'll give you our account number. If you use us as a referral, we get $100 bill credits - and so will you.

I'm reading Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz on my Nook right now. Love him.
You can watch television shows through Hulu.com by the way.
P.S. Are you on GoodReads?
