Do you remember a few weeks ago I wrote about the house across the street from us getting robbed in the middle of the day? I think I mentioned how the woman who lived there came home around 5pm to find two men carrying her big screen television out her garage door. For a while after that incident, I kept my front door closed and locked all the time. It is just in the last few days that I have started leaving my door open, with the screen door locked. The weather has been so beautiful, I need to let the sunshine in.
This makes Junior nervous because most of the day I am home alone. He would prefer I keep the door closed and locked, but I can not live like a prisoner in my own home. We compromised, and decided that I will keep the doors locked until he can have a security system installed. Of course he wants the best alarm system he can find, so I believe we are looking into adt home alarms systems. They are America's number one home security provider, and it is very important that we have the best. Home alarms can alert you to break ins or fire, and it's always nice to know someone is looking out for you.
I do everything I can to protect my family, and that includes owning a safe car for them to ride in, teaching them how to act around strangers, and using the best home security system available. I don't want to end up losing everything like my neighbor did.

Feeling Secure
I think we have found a security system that will work perfectly for us. Junior has been toying with the idea of getting one for a little while now, and this package offers us everything we need. It's a wireless security system that we found at protectamerica.com. The package pictured is the one we want. It's the Copper Package, and it comes with a talking control panel, motion detector, three entry point sensors, internal siren, door chime, backup battery, three window decals, and a yard sign. We lives in a little apartment, so this package offers us everything we need. We can get all the equipment free right now, and just pay the $29.95 monthly monitoring fee.You can call this number, 877-470-2751, and find out more about these security systems. If you order through this number, you can get two free key chain remotes with your order. My sisters have had security systems in their homes for years, and my oldest sister actually had hers alert her to someone trying to break in. Last year they had a string of robberies in her neighborhood, and one night her alarm went off. When her husband went downstairs to see why, they found one of there windows had damage on the outside where someone was trying to pry it open. Luckily, the alarm scared whoever it was away.
I want that kind of security in my home, and I can get it with protectamerica.com.

Safe At Home
I live in a duplex. For the first few months after we moved, we did not have neighbors. When people moved in next door, I got a little nervous. I know that I am careful, and we don't smoke, but I have no idea what they do in their side, and if it poses a risk to my family. Junior is looking into adt security systems as an extra measure to make sure we are safe. He likes the idea of someone looking over us, in case the house goes up in flames or something. I like the idea of knowing that we are protected if someone tries to break into the apartment during the night.
Security is a great thing, and will help me sleep better at night.

Gone, In Broad Daylight
I have never lived on my own. When I moved out of my parents house in my early twenties, it was into an apartment that I shared with my brother and sister. From there I moved back in with my mom, and then from there I moved in with my husband. I am not sure if its a good or bad thing that I have never been on my own, and I'm not sure how happy I would have been. It's true that I love my "me" time when Junior is at work and the kids are in school, I also like that I have someone to play games with, or watch movies with. I think I would have been lonely living on my own.
My older sister, Tami, did move out into her own apartment for a little while after she graduated from high school. I am not sure how long that lasted, but eventually she moved back home. Now remember, we lived in NY at this time. I remember the day she moved. She had a friend of hers with a truck help get the stuff from one place to the next, but they were in a rush to get it done, so they just put all her stuff on our front porch. They finished the last load in the early morning hours, and were too tired to bring it in the house, so they left it all outside.
We woke up the next morning, expecting things to be missing, but everything was there. Instead of bringing it in right away, we made breakfast. About an hour later, we opened the door to start bringing stuff in, and most of it was gone! In the hour it took us to eat breakfast, someone backed a truck up to our front porch, and threw most of the stuff in it. Our neighbor watched the whole thing, but didn't think anything of it, because he thought we were getting rid of it all.
What I find scary is that we were awake inside the house, and it was light outside. I don't even want to think about what could have happened if we had opened up the door while they were still there. I mean, what would they have said or done?
Luckily, nothing bad happened that day besides my sister losing all her jewelry and her kitchen set. It makes me think, though, that it might not be a bad idea to invest in a wireless security system. Protect America has many different packages, so it is easy to find the one that best fits your needs. They have three different packages that require no upfront money, and their monthly monitoring frees are very reasonable. I like the bronze package. It comes with a talking control panel, seven entry points, internal siren, door chime, battery backup, one button arming, three window decals and a yard sign. I wonder if a yard sign would have stopped the guys who stole my sisters stuff?
Call this toll free number, 877-470-2751 and get two keychain remotes with your order.

My Family's Security
I grew up in New York. We lived on Long Island, in a neighborhood where we were allowed to play in the street. I remember our favorite game was box ball. All you need was chalk to draw a line, and a ball. Many a contest was held to find the box ball champion.
I never felt scared living where we did. Maybe I was just naive. I do remember one time, when I was home alone, someone knocked on our front door. I was a teenager, I think, but I don't remember exactly how old. Anyway, I peeked out the side window, and could see that it was a group of churchgoers going door to door handing out literature. I wasn't interested because I already belonged to an awesome church, so I didn't answer the door. As I was waiting for them to leave, I heard the front doorknob turn. I couldn't believe it! I had never been so scared before. Thank goodness the door was locked! I felt very foolish when I realized, after they left, that they were just hanging their literature on the doorknob.
Now that I am a mom, I am even more concerned with the security of my home and family. My husband and I are thinking about installing a wireless security system. Protect America Home Security seems to be the best option for us. They have cheaper rates than other security systems, and their equipment on certain packages is free. I was looking at their Silver Package, and it has a lot to offer. You can get a talking control panel, 10 entry point sensors, internal siren and door chime, one button arming, three window decals and a yard sign for free. You just pay the $34.95 monthly monitoring fee. Of course they have other packages, and you are sure to find one that caters to your specific needs. If you call this number right now, 877-470-2751, you can get two key chain remotes with your order.
