Cucumber Invasion

As you can see, the cucumbers have taken over my garden.
Every day I take them off the tomato plants, but the next day there are right back where they were. It's worth the trouble, though, because I have some honking cucumbers right now.

I was beginning to wonder if I would ever get peppers.
My dad is already picking them out of his garden.
I was happy to finally see this little guy this morning.

I also have zucchini that is just about ready to be picked, but I couldn't get a good picture.
I can not wait to cut it up and slap it on the grill....yum!

My First Veggie

Look what I found!

It's my first ripe veggie from my garden.

I brought it inside and cut it into four little pieces.

Me, Brandi, and Ryan all ate a pice (I had two!) and it was delicious!!!!

I can not wait until the rest start turning red.

What's Up With That?

I was checking out my garden yesterday, which is doing awesome by the way, and I noticed that my cucumbers are growing taller than the support I have for them to grow up. They are starting to grab onto the other plants, and I don't know how to stop it. I have tried undoing their little tentacle things, but the next day they are right back where they were.

Any suggestions?

Oh, and the hanging upside down tomato plant on my porch had a rotten tomato on it. It never even turned red. I've never had that happen before. I just hope the rest don't do the same thing.
