Today is cleaning day. In fact, most Saturdays are spent cleaning the house off all the clutter of the week before. Ryan likes to really clean, so he takes stuff out of his closet and organizes. When we moved, I just shoved boxes out of the way, without unpacking them. These boxes ended up in his closet, and he has been bugging me to have his closet back. The problem is, I don't have enough room for all of it in our new place, because it is so small.
I think I finally found a solution, though. Ebay. I am new to buying and selling online, so I went on there for the first time a few weeks ago, and I couldn't believe the things people were Selling on eBay. The kids are wanting a video game for Christmas, and I can not spend $50 on one game, and that's the cheapest I've seen it in the stores. So I was searching for it on ebay. Then of course I had to check and see if anyone would just happen to be selling some elephant stuff. I was floored! I could easily buy every single thing, if I had like a million dollars!
The things that caught my eye the most were the products that had good pictures. I didn't even look at anything that didn't have a picture. I also loved the detailed descriptions. Of course, I am assuming people are being honest. I love the fact that you can rate the seller. I would probably only buy from a seller with an amazing rating.
My point is that it looks so easy. I won't have any problems selling some of the stuff that is still in boxes around here, and I would have the extra bonus of making some money. I could also put some of my crafts online, and see how well they sell there. I want to be able to say iSold It on eBay Who knows. If I make enough money, I can go get my kids that video game.

great idea. i sold some of trevor's clothes that were too small for him and some baby toys and also some baby carseats and other things that the kids have out grown... it went well for me. i made some extra money... the other place you might want to try is craigs list... they let you list things for free, and you can list them by area of where you live so it eliminates shipping... yo9u can deliver or have people pick the stuff up at your house or another location.
best of all craigs list is totally FREE to use.
anyway... good luck w/ whatever you choose... and good luck with the boxes in the closet... i'm all too familar with that. lol

Jenn, that trip I took to Claifornia last year? I paid for my round trip flight (around $350) by selling on ebay!! Just purses, shoes, things like that that were laying around here and at my mom's house.
She's got more for me to list as soon as we find it again....they just moved so it's all packed away.
Hmmmm what will I spend the profit on this time? *grin*
Good luck on eBay! I've had good and bad experiences on there. Bought a used video camera that the seller (who had thousands of positive feedback and NO negatives) assured was only used once. It came broken and missing screws. :( Took over a month of fighting to get my money back. I'll never buy big ticket items on there.
For video games, do you have an Electronics Boutique or Game Stop near you? They sell used games for pretty cheap. They even have a members club where you get 10% off used games. It's a pretty good deal.
