A Beach Vacation Sounds Divine Right About Now

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Newport Beach for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Last week, I was not feeling like myself. My stomach was upset most of the week, and I didn't go to the gym at all, except for Monday. I think I might be feeling a little run down now that the weather is getting hotter. I forgot how draining it is to drive in the heat all day long. If I am going to be in the heat, I want it to be something I enjoy doing, like spending time with my family, with either a pool or the ocean nearby.

I live close to the East coast, and growing up in New York I spent a lot of time at the beach. My kids have only seen the ocean a couple of times, so I think planning a trip to the other side of the country might be fun. Of course, I would have to factor in driving time, because there is no way I am getting on a plane! I was checking out different destinations (a girl can dream about getting away!) and I have to say that Newport Beach sounds like a place we could enjoy together.  Their website has a ton of information about the city, and the different things for the kids and I to do.  The one thing I really want to do is whale watching. How amazing would that be to see a whale in the ocean? Of course, this is just one of the many activities listed on the site. I am sure that if I ever do get to do, my list of things I want to see and do will be endless!

If I ever do go, I would stay at the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach.  They have three pools and whirlpools, shuffle board, ping ping, and even a golf course. I can even get a connecting room for the kids (18 and under) for 50% off when I book my room.  You can take advantage of this offer as well by calling 800-233-1234 and mentioning their family plan.

Just look at how beautiful Newport Beach is:

Now that you know my reasons for needing a vacation, tell me yours. Are you stressed from work? Are the kids driving you crazy? (Did I mention they also have several summer camp options for kids? I know Brandi would love the science camp, while Ryan and Kasi would enjoy anything water related. Would it be bad for me to send my kids to camp while I enjoyed time around the pool or dipping my feet in the ocean by myself?) Do you just need to get away? I'm sure whatever your reason is, you can find something in Newport Beach to help you relax.
