Over the weekend, we went to Walmart. They had racks and racks of clothes in the back of the store, all marked down to $1. I picked out a few shirts for Brandi and Kasi, and then two shirts and a pair of pants for myself. As usual, when we got to the register, I watched everything ring up (Walmart is known for messing up prices).
Sure enough, one of the shirts rings up for $5. I point it out to the cashier, who looks at the tag, looks at me, and says,
"I'll give it to you for $3."
Um, what? I responded, ever so sweetly, with this:
"No. I found it on the $1 rack, so I want it for $1. You can call someone over to go back there and check, because there are tons more of the exact same shirt on the rack. I'll wait."
Then I smiled. She didn't.
She did, however, call over the manager, who said to give it to me for $1. I mean, why would I pay more for something that I know is less money? That's why it's always best to watch the register.

Oh yes you have to watch that register. So many things get rung up wrong. It's a real rip off.
Lol, I can't believe she said that!! Too funny but also too true. Instead of her going and finding out what the real price was she acted a lil lazy and misspoke. Glad u didn't budge girlie!!!
Tammy ~ I watch every time we go...to any store...but Walmart is the worst.
Crystal ~ I can be persistent when it comes to money! lol!
She was probably going to pocket the extra $2...!
Gotta watch them!!
hughugs
Miss Donna ~ I didn't even think of that. Ug, I hate dishonest people.
You have got to be kidding me!!I agree with Donna, that money was going in her pocket. What a little skunk
Not surprised. Not only do you have to watch that the register was programmed but the cashiers often times think they are auctioneers.
Great job calling her on it.
Vicki ~ do you think so? That really pisses me off....
Glenna Frazier ~ Thank you. I was shocked by her attitude, but I knew I was right. That makes it easy to stand up to people.
