Is It Bedtime Yet?
I am in such a good mood! I spent 6 hours selling produce. When we got home me and the kids got in the pool. We swan for about 2 hours. I cooked hamburgers, corn on the cob, potatoes, squash with onions, and canteloupe for supper. I cut the potatoes into bite size pieces, drizzle with EVOO (for those of you who AREN'T Rachael Ray fans ~ Extra virgin olive oil), add salt, pepper, and parsley. Bake at 475 for about 45 minutes. Dip in Ranch dressing. They are sooooooo good. Not so bad on WW either. I used all my points today, and that's okay. Del sent me home with more bananas, canteloupe, onions and squash. We have more than we can possibly eat in one day. The good thing is I have the fixins for some good meals. We didn't have very many customers today, but the people who did stop, bought something. So I'm off to watch the season finale of HOUSE. Then it's bedtime, I'm exhausted!

WW Week 3
Junior and I did our official weigh in this morning. I didn't loose anything, but considering how badly I cheated over the weekend and last night , I was just glad I didn't gain any. Elaine made a yummy chocolate cake for Kasi's birthday, and I couldn't resist. Junior gained 2 pounds back. He has cheated all week. I even called Tami to yell at him and he still ate bad. Hopefully we will both get back on track by next week's weigh in.

WW Week 2
This morning was the official weigh-in. Junior and I both lost two pounds. I was worried. Not that I cheated this week, but I had a lot of carbs. (NY bagels) I am happy. I think Junior was a little disappointed that he didn't loose more, but I told him slow and steady is better. So, YEAH for us!!!!!

Day 5
I have had a very rare laid back Sunday. Junior and I helped our neighbor move the last of her things out of her house, then set up some things at her new place. That was about it. I love the days when you aren't obligated to do anything. It's day 6 on WW. I'm holding steady, hubby lost another pound. I'm sure I'll have more to say tomorrow. Until then.....

TGIF
We made it through the school week. Yeah!! No notes home, no detention, and no fighting. I can breathe a sigh of relief, at least until Monday. I can't believe the school year is almost over. Only 3 1/2 weeks left. Then it's sleeping in, swimming, and fishing. I can't believe that I will have two kids in middle school next year. I can't possibly be that old!Terra, I read your comment and I honestly never thought about it that way. You teach me things all the time. You rock!Tomorrow we are taking the kids to have that picture done. It should be a huge pain in the butt, but I know it will be worth it cause those shots are always beautiful. Especially with my kids in it. Day 4 on WW. I lost another pound, and am carefully counting every point. Junior, on the other hand, is "kinda" counting his points. Yet he gets on the scale this morning and has lost 9 pounds. Don't get me wrong. I am SOOOOOOO proud of him. It is just wrong that men can lose weight faster and easier than women. I'm just saying.Until next time.....

Wow
Poor Jordin. She thought she was going home. I gotta say that was pretty mean. My mom was watching. She calls me after Jack Black was on stage. She wants to know who Seal is. I tell her he's a singer. Then she wants to know who Jack Black is. I ask if she's been living under a rock. We laugh at how silly she is and hang up. When Rascal Flatts takes the stage my phone rings again. I answer. I say "please don't tell me you don't know who Rascal Flatts are", to which she replies, "I've heard this song and always thought it was a WOMAN who sang it". Oh my goodness. That must be a big rock she's been living under. But I love her anyway. Believe me when I say I am not being mean. My mom knows how silly she is.So today is day 2 on WW. I gotta say I feel pretty good. I have 1 point left for today, and I think I used my points wisely. Junior is trying hard too. I finally got him to eat a multigrain bread and use 1% milk. That is a very big step for him and I'm proud of him.Again, pray for my mom and Colleen to have a safe trip this weekend. I can't wait til they get back. They are bringing me REAL bagels. Those points will be well spent!!

The Battle Begins
I know what you're thinking. Two entries on the first day. Just bear with me. I failed to mention while writing about myself that I am severly loosing the battle of the bulge. I have been over weight all of my adult life, and I just piled on more weight with each pregnancy. Attempts to loose weight have been somewhat successful, for about five minutes. I ALWAYS put it all back on. So a little while ago I got a phone call from Tami (my sister in New York) and she says she joined Weight Watchers today. Let me pause to say that she is skinny and doesn't really need to loose weight. Anyhow, she is going to send me and Junior (my husband) some books and info so that we can do the program with her. While this excites me, it also makes me a little nervous. I don't want to fail anymore. It is very depressing to loose and gain, over and over. I have tried every fad diet you can name. Atkins worked, until you eat normal food. I have lived on lean cuisine. I have had nothing but salad for weeks on end. I am hoping that maybe that has been my problem. I deprive myself, and then end up crashing. Maybe Weight Watchers will be the program that works. With summer coming, I will spend endless hours in the pool, which I know is good exercise. I need to get back to walking every day. Having an outlet now to write my concerns, maybe I will do better. I guess there are just a whole lot of maybe's. I need to turn my maybe's into definately's. I need to be held accountable for the food choices I make. I need to set a better example for my children. I know what it is like to grow up as the fat kid. I want to be able to prevent my children from having to live through that. I need to be happy with me. Okay. That's enough of the pity party. I will keep you updated on my progress, and share my failures. I want to say that I love music. I could listen to my ipod all day and be quite content. My favorite group nowadays is Sugarland. They are awesome. Their latest CD is called Enjoy the Ride and I think that is a great way to view life. Just grab on, hold tight, and enjoy the ride!! I know I am!
